How I got into music:
Growing up I was always surrounded by music.
I started to take piano lessons in the 2nd grade and started trumpet in 5th.
I got hooked on a cappella when I moved to NY my freshmen year of high school.
I heard the University of Rochester's Yellowjackets and loved it!
In my sophomore year I started a group of 8 guys, known as 8 Men Out.
We recorded 2 CDs, "Can't Stand Alone" and "Break In", and performed at numerous venues around the Rochester area.
I attended Roberts Wesleyan College and studied Music Education with a concentration in trumpet.
With no a cappella groups on campus, I found myself starting up another group, Vocal Infusion.
VI as it became known recorded 1 CD, "Brothership", to be released in the spring of '09, and was able to participate in both "A cappella Innovation Festivals" in Albany, NY.
Innerloop has just been the logical next step post-graduation and has been great! If become famous in an a cappella group doesn't work out, my plans are to work in arts management!
Hobbies:
Arranging music, vocal percussion, listening to and singing a cappella music, rooting on UNC Tar Heels Basketball, Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers, running, playing golf/tennis, spending time with my wonderful Keri.
A few random thoughts:
1. How many times am I going to have to play the starting pitch for Scott?
2. I love being a part of a cappella groups because of the bonds that are formed
3. Music will always be a part of my life
4. I really don't have a lot of random thoughts right now, haha
5. I hope you all aren't bored by reading this...
